Happy Last Sunday of February! We began Lent this week with Ash Wednesday and we have gained two hours and 10 minutes of daylight since the beginning of winter! We have a few snow storms coming up this week but there is a sense of spring in the air.
All are welcome to attend our service this Sunday at 10AM. We are located on the River Road in Cherryfield, Maine. This Sunday, The Rev. Larry Zimmerman is again the pulpit. His sermon is titled, “When in Our Own Wilderness”. Our scripture reading come from Matthew 4:1-11. In this scripture, Jesus goes into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
Malen Hsu will be playing our music. Amy Mathews will be streaming our service live on our church Facebook page to the best of my knowledge. Please watch service online or read through it in the pictures below.
Enjoy the upcoming week. Whether March comes in like a lion or like a lamb, keep your faith and live it. Do good for others and serve God. Pray and share your burdens with God. Also try to spend some time getting to know Jesus and God better this Lenten season. Do so by living your faith and learning about God through study, church, and serving others.
