Happy Second Sunday of February! After surviving 16 below on Saturday, February 4th, we have had a warm week for February. Valentine’s Day is Tuesday. Remember to show those you care for some love this week!
All are welcome to attend our service this Sunday at 10AM. This Sunday, The Rev. Angela Davis and Rev. Nick Davis will be again at our pulpit. Rev. Z is back in New Hampshire with his family. Our church’s scripture readings this week are Isaiah 58:1-9a and Matthew 5:13-20. Our message this week is titled, “On Being Salt and Light.”
Malen Hsu will be playing our music. Wayne Steele will be presenting some special music, titled “What a Beautiful Light.” Amy Mathews will be streaming our service live on our church Facebook page to the best of my knowledge.
Enjoy the upcoming week. Remember to show some love this week and live your faith. Do good for others, pray for those you love and those who you struggle getting along with, and hand your problems over to God. Remember to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Wednesday or later this week also! (All the Valentine’s Day chocolate and goodies will be 50% off!)
Rev. Z will be back on Sunday, February 19th and we will have a Church council meeting after church. Our Ash Wednesday service will be on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30PM with the the Milbridge Congregational Church joining us. Make the week ahead an awesome one! God bless and be with you!
