Happy First Sunday of February. The groundhog is now predicting 6 more weeks of winter. On Saturday when I am posting this, the polar vortex is here. It is 16 below zero and we have a wind chill of 44 below the donut. Mount Washington has a 107 degree below wind chill! A warm up is expected starting on Sunday with temperatures turning positive and up around 30 on Sunday! Rain is also in the forecast for next week!
All are welcome to attend our service this Sunday at 10AM. We are located on the River Road in Cherryfield, Maine. This Sunday, The Rev. Angela Davis and Rev. Nick Davis will be at our pulpit this Sunday. Rev. Z is back in New Hampshire with his family. Our scripture reading is Matthew 5:13-20. We don’t have a title of their message but it will be a good one. We will also be having Communion this Sunday.
Malen Hsu will be playing our music. Wayne Steele will be presenting some special music, titled “By The Power of your Name.” Amy Mathews will be streaming our service live on our church Facebook page to the best of my knowledge.
Enjoy the upcoming week. Stay warm this Saturday with the frigid cold. Spring is coming and it hasn’t been a bad winter too far. Do good for others this week. Live you faith, turn your worries over to God and have faith. Take it day by day! Make it the best week you can!!
